Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Clipbrd (“Clipbrd,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our play designer, roster, schedule, and tournament tools at clipbrd.app (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in (via Google or a magic link), we receive your name, email address, and profile photo.
• Team & roster information. Coaches, parents, and administrators enter information about teams and players — including names, jersey numbers, positions, and optionally dates of birth, grade level, height, weight, contact details, and links to third-party profiles (e.g. Hudl, MaxPreps, YouTube).
• Content you create. Plays, playbooks, schedules, stats, volunteer assignments, and tournaments you build in the Service.
• Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number — we keep only a customer/subscription reference and plan status.
• Usage & device data. We collect basic analytics (pages viewed, features used, approximate device/browser) to operate and improve the Service.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Send transactional emails (welcome, schedule reminders, shared plays, billing notices). We do not send marketing email without your consent.
• Process subscriptions and payments.
• Understand usage and diagnose problems.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and storage.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• PostHog — product analytics.
• Google — sign-in (if you use Google to log in).

We may also share information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of our users and the public, and in connection with a business transfer (e.g. merger or acquisition).

Children's and student privacy

Clipbrd is designed for coaches, parents, administrators, and other adults who manage youth and school sports teams. Player profiles — which may include information about minors — are created and managed by these adults, not by the children themselves.

If you enter information about a minor, you represent that you have the authority and any consent required (for example, from a parent or guardian, or under your school or organization’s policies) to do so. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create their own accounts without involvement of a parent, guardian, or coach. If you believe a child’s information has been provided to us improperly, contact us at support@clipbrd.app and we will delete it.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You can delete teams, players, and other content at any time. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize associated personal information, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can access and update most of your information directly in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@clipbrd.app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
